GEO Millenium Systems Pte Ltd is the creator of Road Pilot for Win 95 & Win 3.1. They have now released ROAD PILOT PT for HP 200LX which takes less than 3MB of disk space! Since I found this Street Directory so useful, I feel that I have to share this information with you HP 200LX users which lives in Singapore or are planning to come to our country for business or holiday.
The ROAD PILOT PT is very easy to use! From the main menu:
![[Main Menu]](/pictures/tips.gifrp1.gif)
You choose "View Map" and then "Find" and you will see following:
![[Search Menu]](/pictures/tips.gifrp2.gif)
Here you can choose a Place to find, such as Roads, Buildings, Cinemas, Embassies, MRT Stations and much more. Then you type a full or partial name of the specific item you are interested in (Such as a Road)- for example Holland Close (where I live). Then you will get a list of matching Roads and if you typed the Road you are looking for correctly- it will be highlighted. Then you chose "OK" and you will see a map on your HP 200LX screen:
![[Map]](/pictures/tips.gifrp3.gif)
You will see a small 'black point' where the place is, in this case a Road. For you that are not yet familiar with Singapore, the numbers are block numbers of HDB apartments. So here you can easily find the correct address. Using the arrow keys, you can move around the map and see whole Singapore!!
For more information, visit GEO Millenium's home page!
For your information- I heard rummors about an add-on program for ROAD PILOT PT that may be available later!? This add-on program will make it possible for a HP 200LX user to connect a GPS (Global Positioning System) to the palmtop, so you actually can see where you are in Singapore! I am VERY excited about this possibility, so please send me an e-mail if you are also interested in a GPS add-on program for ROAD PILOT PT. If I get many replies, I will contact GEO Millenium and ask them to really do this! I am also interested to hear from you if you think that a similar Road Map could be useful for any other city in this region- such as Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta e.t.c. This since I would love to have a ROAD PILOT PT map for each city in Southeast Asia (I am travelling, so I would find it most useful). If you are a HP 320LX or HP 360LX user, ROAD PILOT PT will most probably be available for Win CE in the beginning of next year!
