ANSIED is an ANSI editor that can be used as a "coloring" tool or as a tool to create box graphics. Simple and easy to use. Along with ANSI.COM, this can liven up batch files. Freeware.

This file is a slower version of the ANSI.SYS screen driver. The advantage is that it can be run when needed and unloaded from the Palmtop's memory when it is no longer needed. The program is useful for Ansi-based text-graphics programs. Copyrighted Freeware.

CARPET is an example program which uses an undocumented feature of INT5F on the 200LX. The 100LX has nothing similar. This function is used on the 200LX to draw circles and everything which has round edges. Be your own rug designer! Source code included. Copyrighted freeware.

DRAW-LX.EXE is a small program to draw PCX pictures on the HP 200LX's CGA display. It can draw points, lines or arrows, boxes or rectangles, curves, and alphanumeric text. See the help screens for usage in each mode. The code is not overly dependent on the 200LX and the program should run on any PC/XT compatible computer with a CGA display.

With Figlets for DOS you can create email signatures that add pizzazz and eat up bandwidth on the internet. In the days before WWW browsers and scalable fonts this was the best you could do with 7 bit ASCII characters and a monochrome screen. Fun to play with. Freeware.

If you work with graphics on a DOS computer you need Graphics Workshop for DOS. It will convert almost any graphic format to another format and even create standalone .EXE files to display a graphic image. This is the last known version to work on the Palmtop. Unlike later versions which need a '286 processor, this version supports GIF and TIFF files. On the Palmtop you only need GWS.EXE, GSW.RES and GWSHLP.RES. Shareware.

These are short programs that implement a "state machine". These are similar to the state machine described in the August 1986 "Scientific American" magazine.
